The Three-Click Workflow of nanoFluidX, HyperMesh, and SimLab

RADIOSS: A cost-effective, powerful replacement for NASTRAN

HyperWorks 14.0 Webinar: Integration of FEKO into HyperWorks 14.0 - Features & Benefits

FEKO, the leading electromagnetic simulation software for antenna design and placement, EMC, RCS and other applications is fully merged into HyperWorks 14.0, the new release of Altair’s CAE simulation software platform. Through examples and demonstrations, this webinar will present the new extensions and features in FEKO 14.0, including the addition of curvilinear wire meshes to reduce computational requirements while keeping accuracy. Extensions have been added to the time domain solver and to the cable modeling tool. Users will also benefit from CAD handling, scripting and automation improvements. Active RCS calculations are now possible, among other features that will be presented. Thanks to being part of HyperWorks, FEKO now includes integration with HyperStudy, the multi-disciplinary design exploration, optimization and stochastic analysis tool. This will be shown during the webinar, together with the integration with other Altair products FEKO users will benefit from, like HyperMesh (high-performance finite element pre-processor), PBS Works (HPC workload management software) and Altair’s cloud solutions. Having good tools for contact management is critical given that contact in a finite element analysis, such as a crash or impact event, typically takes about 20% of the total computation time. HyperWorks 14.0 Webinar: Structural Analysis & Optimization

HyperWorks 14.0 introduces expanded optimization, NVH, and nonlinear solver capabilities, helping to get to the right design with a simulation-driven process. Providing fast, accurate solutions, OptiStruct’s capabilities have been elevated to include more nonlinear analyses, as well as the implementation of new contact algorithms, improvement in solution speed and enhancements in thermal contact. OptiStruct parallelism has been further developed, with normal modes and frequency response analysis made faster. Optimization enhancements include a new alternate optimization algorithm in OptiStruct as well as implementation of a first-to-market solution for the design and optimization of lattice structures. 3D topology optimization for RADIOSS nonlinear analysis has been added.

Cabin Comfort - Analyze Airflows and Thermal Effects

It is cost prohibitive to rely on climatic wind tunnel tests in the initial vehicle HVAC system design process. Additionally, the passenger compartment airflow and thermal environment is one in a state of constant change requiring use of transient CFD simulations. In this 45-minutes complimentary session, we will give an overview of Altair’s CFD solution to simulate the airflow in the passenger compartment and include all relevant thermal effects such as convection, conduction and radiation heat transfer in the cabin. The geometry model of the vehicle interior is based on an Altair-developed generic cabin model. This geometry is used to demonstrate the model build and execution process including how to automate the model build process.
