Additionally, the passenger compartment airflow and thermal environment is one in a state of constant change requiring use of transient CFD simulations. In this 45-minutes complimentary session, we will give an overview of Altair’s CFD solution to simulate the airflow in the passenger compartment and include all relevant thermal effects such as convection, conduction and radiation heat transfer in the cabin. The geometry model of the vehicle interior is based on an Altair-developed generic cabin model. FEKO, the leading electromagnetic simulation software for antenna design and placement, EMC, RCS and other applications is fully merged into HyperWorks 14.0, the new release of Altair’s CAE simulation software platform. Through examples and demonstrations, this webinar will present the new extensions and features in FEKO 14.0, including the addition of curvilinear wire meshes to reduce computational requirements while keeping accuracy. Altair OptiStruct Revolutionizes Lattice Structures for 3D Printing

Predicting impact of manufacturing process on composite performance with HyperMesh, KTex Family and RADIOSS

RADIOSS already offers many material laws dedicated to composite materials. On top of that, many representations are possible thanks to shell and solid elements. However, weaving patterns of the yarns in a ply are hardly taken into account, and predicting the behavior of these yarns (orientation change but also fibre volume fraction evolution) is a main concern. In this frame, KTex Family is a group of modules, fully integrated in HyperMesh, aiming at improving the composite experience within Altair software suite.
